Charged particle beam apertures can be used for several applications, for instance as entrance apertures for Faraday cups, as cut-off apertures to reduce or form the particle beam sizes or as masks for irradiation of targets. Standard apertures for DREEBIT equipment or customer-specific designs can be offered.

Parameters

materials stainless steel or tantalum (other materials on request)
thickness depending on the application and on the material (some 100µm up to some mm)
minimal hole / slit size 50 µm for thin apertures
minimal hole / slit size 50 µm for thin apertures
aperture geometry round or rectangular (other geometries on request)
